Welcome to TeleSkin. We are a digital training platform that trains home health aids and family members caring for their loved ones at home on how to evaluate skin, optimize skin health, and stay ahead of Pressure injuries and ulcers. We provide digital training that enables you to become a skin ambassador who will join forces with the health providers (nurses and doctors) in charge of the home bound patient to lessen their chance of  skin injuries and pressure ulcers at home.

What prior knowledge do I need to enroll in these courses?

 This course is part of the onboarding and in-service courses offered to Nurses, doctors, CNAs, NPs, and PAs. You therefore require a basic understanding of medical terminology. Our courses are designed to accommodate both new hospital and nursing home hires, and existing healthcare professionals seeking advanced knowledge. 

How long will I have access to the course materials once I enroll?

 After enrolling, you'll have access to the course materials for three months. This allows you to move through the content at your own pace and revisit any modules as needed within that timeframe. 

Are there any hands-on or practical components to these courses?

 While our courses are primarily online and theory-based, we do include video demonstrations, case studies, and interactive modules to enrich the learning experience. If you require additional didactic experience, we also offer a one on one class and small group workshops where you can go over additional cases and gain more expertise in the field. Some of our courses may also recommend optional hands-on exercises you can practice on your own. 

Can I earn any professional certificate or CEUs (Continuing Education Units) from these courses?

 Yes, upon successful completion of each course, you will receive a certificate of completion and a pin brooch to identify you as a skin ambassador. Additionally, our courses are designed to align with certain CEU standards; however, we recommend checking with your professional board or organization to ensure compatibility.
